9brain, thats the octopus..
Me, I'm recently retired and now making surfboards.. for pleasure...
Currently I'm concentrating on mid-length boards, I'll will be making other shapes, see how it goes!
Bought some 5mm ply, made a centre fin from a template, sanded the foil, glass and resin next..
Might remove the section which sits in the fin box and do a solid resin fill, haven't decided yet!
All of my boards are designed using dedicated surfboard software, then CNC cut for accuracy and consistancy. High quality materials are used throughout the process and sourced/supplied locally. Please drop me a line if you would like to chat or maybe register an interest in one of my boards!
A big shout to my old chum, Mr James 'Jimmy the fish' Farringdon, with whom I started my surfing journey with back in the late 80's, who happens to be an extremely talented artist and is the provider of said octopus image/logo, thanks Jimmy ;)
About me? My life set a course in the late 1970's when skateboarding arrived on our shores from USA. I'm a so called 'Gen 1' skater, Hah!! I spent 3 years glued to my board, cruising Bristol riding bowls and parks as they were constructed. Years later after leaving art college I was craving to replace skating and discovered surfing...chasing waves since 1989...Arrived in Lostwithiel, Cornwall 1991..Still here!!
